Three months ago I met Nathan (owner of Photographers Edit) at a Photographer meet-up. It was in the final 15 minutes of my attendance (before I rushed home to be with my kids) that we started chatting about film photography. After pulling up our instagram accounts sharing photos and geeking out about film gear, he said to me, “Hey, I run this podcast and you should come be on it!”. “Heck yes!” I thought. I am an avid podcast listener so I was stoked about the idea, and I knew right away the message I’d want to share with my fellow industry: Elevating Your Brand to the Luxury Level.
This concept changed everything for me and my family, and that’s why I can’t stop sharing it. I think there is a real lack in our industry of people talking about this concept, and how to get from point A (average-market photographer) to point B (luxury level photographer). There are a lot of misconceptions around it, and I feel that from the outside, it can appear really unattainable (I know, because I used to be that person looking in). But the reality is, that really isn’t true. It just takes setting up your business in a really intentional way, and it really is attainable if you’re willing to do the hard work of cultivating it.
I recorded this Podcast with Nathan about 2 months ago, and I’ve been excited every day since thinking about how the content could impact others. So without further ado, here it is, friends!
