Ashley is the incredible designer and planner behind Ashley Gain Weddings and Events. Being familiar with her work, I was overjoyed when she asked me to photograph her son’s first birthday party knowing it was going to be spectacular down to every little detail. I love to shoot details, so to say I had fun carefully placing these little bow ties and striped details may be an understatement. To my joy, I was surrounded by all kinds of sweet baby cuteness from every angle as all the little guests made their way to Ashley’s private residence, picked out their hair bows and ties, and sipped on personalized cups (pink for girls and blue for boys). When you’re mommy is an event planner, I guess you get some pretty superb birthday parties ;). One of the most special things about this shoot was having little baby Harper be a guest and getting to see the little one who’s baby shower I shot and was published a year ago.
