Melissa and Andy’s Chateau de Vie wedding in Chandler, Arizona was everything weddings should be comprised of: family+friends, happy tears, carefully chosen beautiful details, and a relaxed (yet fun!) atmosphere. Melissa and Andy live in Idaho but planned their wedding in Melissa’s hometown. You might remember these two from their Flagstaff engagement session earlier this year (where we made sure to channel those Idaho landscape vibes to fairly represent these two!). With guests from Ohio and all over the U.S., it was a beautiful day surrounded by a crowd of their closest family and friends!
The day started calmly true to bride Melissa’s demeanor. My team was there no more than 30 minutes before Melissa was inviting us to enjoy the cheese board and letting us know to “sit down and relax” at any point in the day if we needed it–what?!! When it came to soaking up the moments and fully enjoying every detail–our advice for every bride!–Melissa had it down. Andy was just as relaxed and happy to be with his hometown friends. With family in two different states in which neither Melissa and Andy live, you can imagine how special it was to bring their communities together in a big yet intimate celebration.
One of my favorite moments from this day was hearing the speeches at their reception (which took place outside–underneath the stars!). Included were two FaceTime calls from veterans on other ends of the world and a speech from Melissa’s dad that had even me tearing up and laughing all at the same time!
Melissa+Andy, it’s evident that you are well loved! Serving you was my pleasure. Thank you for allowing my team to photograph your *big* day!
