The first time I photographed this pair was when John had prepared a surprise proposal for Katelyn and got down on one knee and popped the question. The second time was on their wedding day–the day they became husband and wife. The third time, this time, it was to celebrate their 3 years of marriage and we all were giddy about the opportunity to capture them on film (I made the switch just after their wedding!). The light+desert was seriously incredible this evening. It’s like God knew how special this time together was and He made sure we had a brilliant setting to photograph such a special pair.
